Representatives, businessmen and managers of over one hundred companies and six economic development organizations of the United States travelled to Chile to make a visit aimed to explore new business opportunities and investment with the region.
The trade mission, organized by the United States Department of Commerce, is called the Trade Winds Latin-America and will have the participation of various companies of productive sectors, coming from 23 states. The delegation is headed by Arun Kumar, who simultaneously holds the position of Secretary of Commerce of the United States to global markets and General Director of US Foreign Trade Service. Will also be present several agencies of projects development, financing and technical support of the US government.
The meeting will be officially opened in Santiago and the schedule of activities will take place on 8 and 9 September. The program includes a business conference on development that will provide opportunities to establish commercial transactions and the ability to meet new partners in the region. It was, moreover, enabled a place to facilitate the participants the contact with the network of diplomats working in the commercial department over twenty US embassies in the countries of Latin America.
