Jesús is a Spanish entrepreneur with an extensive international experience in emerging markets and an expert in Strategic and Competitive Intelligence (SCI) and public affairs who has spent part of his professional career in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
He has been a consultant in the area of M&A at McKenzie & Co and he has served on the Boards of Directors of companies in publishing, tourism and financial sectors; recently he held executive positions at the Brazilian multinational company named Queiroz Galvāo.
He is currently the Special Representative for Emerging Countries of the Kuwaiti public company Enertech Holding, a subsidiary of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), where he advises on investments and projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Likewise, he is part of the Strategic Committee of the French company AVISA PARTNERS dedicated to public affairs and corporate and institutional reputation.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Exporters and Investors Club, where he also chairs the African Committee. He is also a member of the Africa Working Group of the Real Instituto Elcano, the main Spanish think tank for international affairs.
He is a member of the International Association of Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP). He has been a professor of international contracting, mediation and resolution of contractual conflicts in postgraduate programs and training practices of ADEIT Business University Foundation; member of the Board of Directors of RDO-OTE, hotel sector trade association integrated in CEOE, and member of the Board of Foundation: Spain – Brazil Council.
He has a dual degree in Law and Business from the University of Valencia; a master’s degree in European Studies and International Relations from the University of Salamanca and the Institut d’Études Politiques de Grenoble; and an Executive International MBA from the Business Institute.
