The governments of Brazil and China are expected to sign a cooperation agreement on trade and services during the next summit of the G20, scheduled for the next 4 and 5 September.
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Services, Marcos Pereira, said that the agreement is of great importance for the country given the current weight of the services sector in the economy, representing 58% of Gross Domestic Product.
The Brazilian minister was in Shanghai last July to discuss and settle the terms of the agreement with the Chinese counterpart.
