06 Sep 5th Ministerial Conference “Macau Forum” held in October

On 11th and 12th of October next will be held the 5th Ministerial Conference “Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Forum.
The conference theme is “Towards Consolidation of Economic and Trade Relations between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries: unite Efforts for Cooperation, Building Together the Platform, Share the Benefits of Development”. Will take part of the event official delegations from seven Portuguese-speaking countries – Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, East Timor and China and the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
The event is focused on the development and how to promote economic and trade relations between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries, and provide simultaneous support to Macao in its potentiation as a Service Platform for Trade Cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries.
Under the ministerial conference will be signed the Action Plan for Economic and Trade Cooperation (2017-2019) and other documents which define the key areas and the development cooperation lines between these countries for the next three years. On the sidelines of the Conference will be also held a Business Meeting with businessmen of China and from the Portuguese-speaking Countries and will be carried out other related activities.
The Macau Forum was established in October 2003 in Macau, as an initiative of the central government of China, with the cooperation of the Administrative Government of the Special region of Macao and the participation of seven Portuguese-speaking countries.
